Proliance Surgeons has been providing expert surgical care throughout the Puget Sound region for years. As of August 1, 2008 Premera has put your relationship with your doctor in jeopardy.

Unfortunately, contract negotiations between Proliance Surgeons and Premera have failed. It has become clear we don't agree on what's most important in medicine. Our focus is providing the highest quality of care. Premera's focus is on their own bottom line.

Proliance Surgeons works very hard to carefully manage costs, and Aetna ranks our group among its top physicians both in quality and in cost of care. Independent studies have proven Proliance's costs to be among the lowest 25% among our competitors. UnitedHealthcare has even granted a "premium designation" status to many of our surgeons.

But Premera is, in effect, ignoring the facts and forcing patients to give up their doctor for an inadequate and small group of contracted providers. They're doing this in spite of the fact they've raised their premiums by 7%-15% every year and pay their CEO more than $2 million a year.

Don't let Premera choose your doctor. They don't have your well-being in mind.
